Van Air Systems Manufactures and Supplies a Full Product Line of Compressed Air Dryers, Natural Gas Dryers, and Desiccants
Van Air Systems designs and manufactures dryers and desiccants for dehydration of compressed air and natural gas. Since the company’s founding in 1944, the employees of Van Air Systems have proudly built a reputation for innovation, quality, and superior customer service. Van Air Systems’ compressed air dryers include single tower deliquescent dryers, regenerative compressed air dryers, and natural gas dryers. Van Air Systems also manufacturers products for the treatment of compressed air and natural gas which include adsorbent & deliquescent desiccants, particulate & coalescing filters, automatic condensate drains, and after-coolers. Having served for more than six decades and tens of thousands of customers in virtually every industry, Van Air Systems and its extensive network of factory-trained distributors are uniquely prepared to deliver the world’s finest solutions for cool, clean, and dry compressed air and gas.
With no moving parts, our deliquescent dryers have no power requirement and can be installed almost anywhere. Van Air offers a variety of compressed air dryers for stationary applications, as well as portable compressed air dryer systems. Wet compressed air enters the bottom of the dryer and flows upward through a bed of deliquescent desiccant, which absorbs moisture as it slowly dissolves. Condensate drops to the bottom of the vessel to be drained, and dry compressed air then exits the top of the vessel ready for use. When used with Dry-O-Lite desiccant, a Van Air Compressed Air Dryer automatically provides a dew point that is approximately 20°F lower than the temperature of the air at the vessel inlet.
Van Air Systems, an industry leader in deliquescent desiccant technology, offers a variety of proven solutions for gas dehydration in multiple applications. Van Air offers a full line of deliquescent pipeline dryers for normal operating conditions. For more challenging operating environments, Van Air also offers an explosion proof heatless dryer designed to operate in areas classified as hazardous, Class 1 Division 1, Groups C & D, per the National Electric Code. For jobs on the go, we also offer a skid package that has no moving parts and requires no electricity. Whether drying gas to prevent condensation in pipelines to meet moisture specifications, inhibiting hydrate formation, or simply improving the combustibility of fuel gas, Van Air Systems has a drying package right for you.
Additional Air & Gas Dryer Products
Dryer Desiccants
With more than 65 years of experience developing desiccant formulas, Van Air Systems is the leading manufacturer of deliquescent desiccants for drying compressed air and gases. Deliquescent desiccants are a dependable, cost-effective, and energy-free tool for a wide range of drying applications. Van Air Systems is also a leading source for a variety of adsorbent desiccants which include activated alumina, silica gel, and molecular sieve. These desiccants are used in point-of-use and regenerative drying applications.
Portable Solutions
Van Air Systems offers portable compressed air drying solutions for a wide range of applications, from temporary plant back-up to mobile abrasive blasting and painting. The Prep 40 series of air dryers are well suited for plant back-ups, pipeline dehydration and any compressed air application requiring a -40 pressure dew point. The Blast Pak series is perfect for the mobile blasting and painting contractor who needs to keep moisture out of blast pots and nozzles.
Compressed Air & Natural Gas Filters
Contaminants take many forms in compressed air and gas systems. Small particles of atmospheric dust not removed by compressor intake filters are concentrated during compression. Over time, these contaminants will wear out seals, damage sensitive instruments and pneumatic tools, foul heat exchangers, and cause costly downtime. Put Van Air Systems Compressed Air and Natural Gas filters and elements to work and see the difference that clean, trouble free air and gas make in your system.
Automatic Drain Valves
Cooling, drying and filtering your compressed air is only part of the air treatment process, draining condensation is the other half. In a 100 scfm system operating at 100 psig in ambient conditions of 70°F and 50% relative humidity, each 8-hour shift produces 2.5 gallons of condensate that must be drained from the system. Van Air Systems offers a variety of sturdy and economical options for automatically draining condensate from your compressed air system.
Applications Served
Compressed Air Dryers For Sandblasting, Abrasive Blasting & Coating Applications
Compressed air is an essential utility in both the surface preparation and coating of steel infrastructure. Compressed air transports abrasive grit that blasts away surface corrosion and old coatings. Van Air Systems produces a range of air dryers, filters, and desiccants that are uniquely suited to the blasting and coating industry.
Gas Dehydration Dryers & Filters For Oil & Gas Applications
Wet natural gas and wet associated gas, which is co-produced alongside oil, create a variety of problems for upstream and midstream operators. Excessive water vapor causes problems that include hydrate formation, line and regulator freezing, and poor combustibility. Van Air Systems offers specialized gas dehydration and filtration solutions for upstream and midstream customers.
Compressed Air Dryer Rentals For Portable & Onsite Drying Applications
Specialty equipment rental companies play an important role supporting manufacturers, power plants, mines, refiners, and chemical producers. When a plant’s compressed air dryer goes down, a portable rental dryer is essential. Van Air’s skilled partners in the rental industry supply dryers designed for portable and temporary use to their customers to help sustain production.
Compressed Air Dryers For Industrial Compressed Air & Gas Applications
Nearly all industrial facilities run a compressed air system to operate tools, pneumatic controls, blasting cabinets, paint booths, and air driven processes. Heat, water, oil, and solid particles are damaging contaminants in all air systems. Van Air Systems specializes in the production and application of deliquescent (“deli”) dryers and desiccants for the removal of contaminants.
